„Musical Aquarelle –2022”

REGULATIONS

1. Purpose.

International competition of chamber ensembles “Musical Aquarelle –2022” will take place on May 5-8 at Anykščiai music school. This competition gives an opportunity for young musicians to reveal their performing capabilities in chamber music and also experience participating in international competition and diversity of performances.

We are glad to welcome pupils and students of all specialities. The main requirement – at least one wind instrument in the ensemble. Other instruments are free of choice. The group of ensemble is determined by the oldest member in it. Programme is free although one classic piece is desirable. Five groups of level A, three groups of level B and Junior group will be awarded separately.

2. Place and time.

Anykščiai music school, J. Biliūno str. 2, May 5 – 8, 2022.

3. Structure of the competition.

The age group of the ensemble is determined by the date of birth of the eldest participant. How old is the participant before this date – 01.01.2022.
The Junior Group is open to participants from all schools. Only students of music gymnasiums, conservatories and high schools participate in category A. Only non-formal education students (music schools) can participate in category B.

An illustrator is only available in groups IV and V for larger ensembles. Trio and quartets available

one illustrator. Two illustrators are available in the quintet, sextet, and larger ensembles. The age of the illustrator is unlimited / not countable.

 

      Junior  Group younger than 10 years

I Group 10, 11, 12 years old; Category A; B

II Group 13, 14, 15 years old; Category A; B

III Group 16, 17, 18 years old; Category A; B

IV Group 19, 20, 21 years old; Category A; B

V Group 22, 23, 24, 25 years old; Category A

 

4. Timetable of the competition

The schedule of the competition will be announced two weeks before the event on the website: www.muzikosidejos.lt

5. Criteria

Performance will be assessed according to four criteria:

  1. Musicianship – artistry;
  2. Ensemble;
  3. Interpretation of piece, program selection;
  4. Technique, intonation, mastership;The staff of the international jury will be announced on the first day of the competition.
    The jury will have at least four members. The system of value consists of 25 points. The decisions of the Jury shall be final and conclusive in all circumstances and no correspondence will be entered into.6. Awards

    1. The winners of the international competition of chamber music “Musical Aquarelle-2022” of all groups will be awarded with diploma (I, II, III places, diploma) and special prizes for each ensemble member. Teachers of the winners will be awarded, too.

    There will also be a concert of the Grand Prix and 1st place winners and a CD recording.

    One of all category A chamber ensemble winners will be granted with GRAND PRIX and monetary prize.

    One of all category B chamber ensemble winners will be granted with GRAND PRIX and monetary prize.

    Category A GRAND PRIX 500 EURO

    Category B GRAND PRIX 300 EURO

    7. Entry fee
    Entry fee of International competition of chamber music “Musical Aquarelle-2022” is 20 EUR per each ensemble member. If the musician plays in a few ensembles, for the first one he pays 20 eur, for other ones he pays 10 EUR. Accommodation and catering expenses are not included. Additional information will be given by the time of registration.

    To participate in the competition you must to register:

    Deadline of registration to the competition “Musical Aquarelle-2022” is 2022.03.31.

    Agreement. By completing the registration form, participants agree that their personal data, i.e. the name and video are made public without the express consent of the participants.
